A Balm of Joy and Harmony

Zman Simchaseinu

Sukkos is the time of our joy, zman simchaseinu. It is also called Chag H'asif- the holiday of gathering. After many months of work, the bounty from the field is brought home. Physically, it is the culmination of many months of work coming to fruition. Sukkos is also the culmination of the Shalosh Regalim and the Yomim Noraim, the Three Festivals and the Days of Awe.

Ain Simcha K'hataras Sfeikos

Sukkos is a time when things come together. There is no joy like the amelioration of contradictions, or doubts. There is joy in the air because what were once fragmented parts have been brought back together in wholeness.

The Sukka is like a wedding canopy, bringing a man and a woman, two opposites, together as husband and wife.

In the future all the 70 nations of the world will gather together on sukkos.

Thankfully, today on Hoshana Raba, the Jewish nation feels more complete after 2 years of fragmentation with the return of 20 hostages to our borders.

The Arba Minim

According to the Zohar, bringing the arba minim together brings healing and abundance to the world.

The arba minim represent 4 different kinds of people and different parts of the body  brought into harmony.

A Balm for the Body and the Soul

Our Arba Minim and Esrog Joy tallow balms are nourishing to the the body and the soul. They are full of antioxidants and nourishing oils that heal the skin and seal in moisture. They are anti inflammatory and antibacterial.

Our Sukkos balms contain date seed oil, which is rich in vitamin E, phenolic compounds and fatty acids that nurture and protect the skin.

Myrtle essential oil is traditionally used to treat respiratory issues. It is also used for skin conditions and  wound healing.

You will want to use the Esrog Joy on your hands as the cold weather comes in. It brings a fresh scent, silky and smooth feel to chapped hands and the warm and joyful feeling of sukkos into the winter months.

Wishing all a very Happy Sukkos!

Chag Sameach,

The Glow Team
