Tallow balms are generally non-kosher. This is because tallow balms on the market use suet, a hard white fat taken from around the cow's hearts and kidneys. Suet is not kosher, and in Hebrew, it is referred to as chelev. Glow Kosher Tallow does not use suet in any of our products. We only use tallow from fat trimmings that are taken from the cow's shoulders, legs and backs. These fat trimmings are exclusively from kosher sourced and grass-fed cows. Our products are certified kosher by Rabbi Dovid Gornish, Rav Hamachshir, ensuring the highest standards in providing kosher, grass-fed tallow balms to you. You can be assured that your tallow balm is fully kosher when using products from Glow Kosher Tallow.
